Gentle, humble, and mature beyond his years, Earl was a loyal friend and one of this countries greatest climbers. Born in Colorado Springs, a tall lanky boy with coke bottle glasses. Earl was a bold climber from the start. After accomplishing the first ascent of Supercrack, Earl went on to become one of the boldest and most accomplished American climbers, albiet unknown to much of the climbing community. He went on to solo (no protection, just himself and his chalkbag and shoes) "Outer Limits" and "The Scenic Cruise" an 1800' climb in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. His climbing skills led to a successful Hollywood career as a technical rigger for the film industry. |
